Question 1

Is 51Game legal for fantasy cricket in India?

Accepted Answer

51Game operates as a game of skill under Indian jurisprudence. Fantasy sports where you use cricket knowledge to build teams and select captains are legal in most Indian states. The platform restricts residents of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Telangana from cash contests due to local regulations.

Question 2

How does captain selection work in 51Game contests?

Accepted Answer

Every contest lets you pick one captain and one vice-captain from your XI. The captain earns 2x points for all on-field contributions. The vice-captain earns 1.5x points. This multiplier system rewards you for identifying which players will outperform their base projection, not simply picking the biggest names.

Question 3

Can I join 51Game contests without paying entry fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 51Game runs free practice contests alongside paid ones. Practice contests mirror the real contest format but pay out in platform credits instead of cash. You can use these to test captain strategies and lineup combinations before risking your balance on paid entry fees.

Question 4

What happens if a cricket match gets abandoned or delayed?

Accepted Answer

If a match is abandoned before a ball is bowled, 51Game refunds all entry fees to your balance. If the match starts but gets called off later, points are calculated based on the play that occurred. Your captain and vice-captain multipliers still apply to whatever runs, wickets, and catches happened before the abandonment.

Question 5

How fast are withdrawals processed on 51Game?

Accepted Answer

Withdrawals to UPI and IMPS usually land within 2 to 6 hours during business hours. Bank transfers can take 1 to 2 working days. The first withdrawal on each account goes through a one-time KYC check that can add up to 24 hours before the money moves.

Question 6

What is the minimum entry fee for a 51Game contest?

Accepted Answer

The lowest entry fee on 51Game is Rs 1 for selected beginner contests. Most public contests start at Rs 49. Mega contests for major IPL and international fixtures can have entry fees from Rs 49 up to several thousand depending on the prize pool size.

Question 7

Do I need to verify my identity on 51Game?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Before your first cash withdrawal, 51Game requires PAN card verification and a bank account match. This is a legal compliance step under Indian gaming regulations. The verification is one-time and takes roughly 15 minutes if your documents are ready.

Question 8

Can I edit my team after the match starts on 51Game?

Accepted Answer

No. Team locks happen at the scheduled match start time. You can change your captain and vice-captain up until that lock. Once the toss happens and the match begins, your XI and captain picks are frozen. Late team changes by the franchises are reflected automatically in the player pool before lock time.

Question 9

Does 51Game have a mobile app for Android and iOS?

Accepted Answer

51Game offers an Android APK you can download directly from the site. An iOS app is available through the App Store in supported regions. Both apps support full contest entry, captain selection, live scoring, deposits, and withdrawals. The mobile site also works without any app install.

Question 10

How are tiebreakers handled when multiple users have the same points?

Accepted Answer

If two or more users finish a contest with identical points, 51Game splits the combined prize of the tied ranks equally among those users. There is no sudden death or coin flip. This keeps payout fair and transparent when captain picks converge on the same outcome.
